Sana Mir PAKISTAN Women team captain announce her retirement from International cricket.
Sana Mir the former Pakistani captain arguably the greatest women cricketer Pakistan has ever produced has announced her retirement from international cricket. Bringing an end to a marvelous 15-year career. Sana made her 1st international debut in 2005. She captained Pakistan in 2013 and 2017 world cups. Former Pakistan captain says about her retirement that "It is the right time to retire from international cricket ".
Last November she had taken a break from international cricket and missed a Pakistan tour to England. She further says that "Last few months have to provide me with an opportunity to contemplate and now I believe I have contributed to the best of my ability for my country and the sport".
Mir retires as a leading wicket-taker for Pakistan in ODI's as she took 151 wickets at an average of 24.27. And second highest behind Nida Dar in T20Is.
Sana Mir's most productivity year was 2014. She is an off-spinner and right-handed middle-order batter. She played 226 International matches, captaining Pakistan in 137 of them. She retires as the joint fourth-highest wicket-taker in women ODI cricket.
